In 2014-ish, I was sitting at the small conference table in my boss’s office, and we were discussing a project. Vicki, from marketing, walked into the room with a photographer—camera already aimed. She announced “We’re here to take some candid shots of your team.”

A lifetime of awkward photos flashed through my psyche, and my reflexes kicked in. In an instant, I slipped from my chair to the floor, safely hidden from view beneath the table. Thanks to the polyester/rayon/spandex mix of my work pants and the slick surface of the laminate chair I’d been perched on, this was a lightning-fast process. Success! I’d evaded the camera and created a room full of laughter in one fell swoop.

I said it that day, and I’ll say it here: “I don’t like photos.”

If you’re still here, I’d like to also announce my entry into a new profession: digital creator, a.k.a., a life in front of the camera.

Hi. I’m Shannon, and I do things that make me uncomfortable. Welcome to my online home.

What can you expect from my content? You’ll absolutely get 100% me. Ask me what that means, and I’m far less articulate. One thing’s for sure, you will NOT catch me wearing polyester-mix pants in my YouTube videos. Second thing’s for sure, I hope you’ll watch and subscribe.

Thanks for stopping by.

Shannon hides behind her coffee mug.

Here I am, evading the camera, again. Watch this space: Headshots are on my to-do list.

If you’d like to be “in the know,” as they say, then stick your deets into the boxes, below, and click the button. I’m currently focused on firing up the YouTube machine, but I’ll likely begin sending a weekly or monthly Love Letter, plus any special announcements or invitations, soon enough.

Importantly, I will not bombard you with offers. I respect your inbox and behave accordingly. Thanks for dropping by.
