In 2014-ish, I was sitting at the small conference table in my boss’s office, and we were discussing a project. Vicki, from marketing, walked into the room with a photographer—camera already aimed—and announced “We’re here to take some candid shots around the office.”

A lifetime of awkward photos flashed through my psyche, and my reflexes kicked in. In an instant, I slipped from my chair to the floor, safely hidden from view beneath the table. Thanks to the polyester/rayon/spandex mix of my work pants and the slick surface of the laminate chair I was perched on, this was a lightning-fast process, and I was successful. I’d evaded the camera and created a room full of laughter in one fell swoop.

I said it that day, and I’ll say it here: “I don’t like photos.”

If you’re still here, I’d like to also announce my entry into a new profession: digital creator, a.k.a., a life in front of the camera. Hi. I’m Shannon, and I do things that make me uncomfortable. Welcome to my online home.

What can you expect from my content? You’ll absolutely get 100% me. Ask me what that means, and I’m far less articulate. One thing’s for sure, you will NOT catch me wearing polyester-mix pants in my YouTube videos. Second thing’s for sure, I hope you’ll watch and subscribe. Thanks for stopping by.

Shannon hides behind coffee mug.

Here I am, evading the camera. Again. A starting point. (Watch this space: Headshots, are on my to-do list.)

If you’d like to be “in the know,” as they say, then stick your deets into the boxes, below. I’m currently focused on firing up the YouTube machine, but will likely be sending a weekly or monthly newsletter with a note from me, plus any special or behind-the-scenes news and offers, soon enough.
